Name: Eurynome (You-ree-no-meh)
Meaning: Demon that devours corpses.
Species: Mermaid/Merman
About: These aren't the kind of mermaids that are like The Little Mermaid or the kind that sing and eat sailors... These are the kind that must eat human flesh in order to stay "human-like" themselves. For a long time, these mermaids have been hunted by humans in the past, and have gone into hiding, but since they've hidden for too long, their true forms have started to show, and since they don't want such things to happen, they must eat humans in order to stay the way they think they should look. (Btw, that transparent bubble in his stomach is where the humans go.) (And this is what they look like in their true forms. [link] )
Bio: Eurynome is in the middle of 3 sons of the 2nd in Command of the mermaids, yet he has the biggest heart. He often goes out and adventures, going close to shore and sometimes interacting with humans as a normal human himself. He tends to hide his features from the humans, and they never have really seemed to notice. However, his older brother, Asmodeus, seems to always catch him and take him away to scold him along with their father. But Eurynome always seems to do it again and again. One day, he finds a girl on shore in severe pain, and tries to help her, starting to form a connection with her and seeing her day after day. However, when she learns he's a mermaid and he loses control of his own form and threatens to eat her, she still stays by his side, saying that she doesn't care if he's a monster or not. And then, when his little brother, Pyro, discovers that his sibling has a crush on someone, he's determined to both help him and spread the rumor throughout the whole mermaid kingdom, which can lead to banishment. Eurynome, however, doesn't want this to happen, so he has to bribe his brother to prevent him from doing that. Although, Pyro HAS been known to lie at times...
